Gel nail extensions at Gloss House
I was gifted a full set of gel nails after agreeing to write about my experience at gloss house. As always, all opinions are my own
I have always loved getting my nails done. Since making the move south-side, I had been looking for a place closer to home for my monthly treat. When one of my friends surprised me with a voucher for Gloss House for my birthday, my search was finally over.
Gloss House is located on Booterstown Avenue in Blackrock. It is a beautifully designed, boutique nail salon that only opened its doors late last year. They pride themselves on offering a luxurious, polished experience, and that is EXACTLY what you get from the moment you walk through the door.
Interiors
When I first walked up to Gloss House, I was immediately impressed by the stunning design.
Not only does it complement the exterior of the building, but it flows beautifully throughout the salon too. Once you enter the salon, you are greeted by the reception desk. This is subtly separated from the main salon which gives a nice level of privacy to the treatment areas.
The space is filled with light and features a beautiful calming colour palette. The furnishings combine clean lines and colour blocking with rich velvet, which adds to the overall luxurious feel of the space.
Nail techs
I have visited Gloss house twice now, and had the pleasure of meeting two of the talented nail technicians – Anelise & Gabriela.
On my first visit I had a gel manicure which was done by Anelise. She was absolutely amazing, and when I left I couldn’t get over how neat my nails were and how impeccable my cuticles looked!
On my second visit, I booked in for gel extensions and had the pleasure of meeting Gabriela. Never have I ever experienced such care and attention while getting a set of nails. She ensured that each nail was shaped and painted to perfection and delivered an incredibly natural result.
Both technicians showed the utmost care when removing gel polish, filing and removing cuticles and I felt like I was in super safe hands.
Products
At Gloss House, they use polish that is cruelty-free and free from parabens and other toxic ingredients. They are also suitable for vegans and for use during pregnancy. There is a wide range of colours to choose from and the technicians are great at helping you select a colour that best suits your skin tone.
Experience
Overall, I was blown away by the customer experience at Gloss House. The nail technicians are some of the best that I have come across in Dublin (and believe me, I have tried my fair share!).
The atmosphere is so calming, it was a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning unwinding after a long week of work. I am already booked in for my next visit and I cannot wait to get back!
If you fancy paying them a visit you can book an appointment online or call (01) 532 4330. For more information, check out www.glosshouse.ie.
