Review: Série Expert Solar Sublime from L’Oréal Professionnel
As you may have spotted on my instagram stories (@annmariejudge), I’ve been trialing the Série Expert Solar Sublime range from L’Oréal Professionnel since my trip to Malta. I promised to come back to let you know how I got on, and I have to say, I am very impressed.
The newly improved products contain Mexoryl S.O technology, which promises to form a protective shield against harmful UV rays, preventing them from entering the hair fibre and leaving your hair hydrated and damage free. The range contains three products to protect and strengthen your hair before, during and after sun exposure.
The Range
L’Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Solar Sublime Shampoo
This shampoo claims to gently cleanse the hair, removing sand, salt and chlorine and return hair to it’s pre sun-exposed condition. I normally know after the first use whether or not I like a shampoo or not, and this one was one of the goodies. The presence of Vitamin E derivative and glycerol definitely do leave hair feeling softer and moisturised and it definitely didn’t feel as dry as it normally would after swimming in the sea.
L’Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Solar Sublime Masque
This rich conditioning treatment is probably my favourite product of the range, and it really left my hair feeling pampered following a day in the sun. I take a generous amount and apply all over my hair. I then use a wide tooth comb to disperse the product and leave it on for about 5 minutes. It leaves my hair silky and shiny each and every time I use it. The pot is pretty big (250ml) so you will get a lot of uses out of it. I’ve used it about 8 times now and it’s still more than half full.
L’Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Solar Sublime Spray
The leave-in mist provides instant protection for hair during sun exposure and leaves it looking super shiny. I think of it as suncream for your hair! You apply it before heading into the sun, paying particular attention to lengths and ends.
While I haven’t used this product as often as the others, I can definitely vouch for it’s lightweight formula. Often when I use leave-in serums or sprays, my hair falls flat and gets really greasy quickly, but that didn’t happen with this product. I will definitely be taking this on my next trip away to the sun!
All of the products have a gorgeous lingering scent of peach that truly is amazing! I noticed that my hair was softer and much brighter. After spending a lot of time in the sun recently, I felt confident that my hair was protected. Of course I can’t tell you the scientific results or how much damage I have saved my hair from using these products, but the fact that Andrew noticed that my hair looked shinier and healthier is enough for me!
The products are available to purchase in L’Oréal Professionnel salons nationwide and you can find your nearest salon here.
