3 Podcasts I Can’t Stop Listening To
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will have heard of at least one podcast that has taken the world by storm. This year I have really noticed a surge in popularity, with many new podcasts popping up across the world and some even a little closer to home…
Now, I’m not going to lie, I am pretty new to the whole podcast scene. I only really started listening to them when we were travelling last year. It was a great way to kill the hours travelling from A to B, especially around New Zealand. However, since returning home I have become quite hooked. Those of you who follow me on Instagram will probably be aware that my commute to work can be quite frustrating from time to time, and as such, podcasts have become a regular feature in my day-to-day life!
Here are some of my favourite podcasts I’ve been listening to lately.
Casefile
If you like murder mysteries or trying to solve cases, this podcast is definitely for you. The anonymous Australian host covers real-life solved or cold cases and brings you through them in explicit detail. His method of storytelling is flawless and he clearly creates a picture of what happened every step of the way. While this won’t suit everyone, this has become my ‘driving-to-work podcast’. With over 100 episodes to date and most episodes over an hour in duration, it has definitely helped take my mind off how long I’ve actually spent sitting in the car on the m50! *eye roll*
smart casual
Hosted by IMAGE Digital Editor Dominique McMullan, Fashion Director Marie Kelly and Digital Leader Niamh O’Donoghue, they discuss personal style and what that means to each one of us. Each week they discuss the top fashion news and also have a guest speaker who takes us through their style evolution. Marie and Niamh also challenge themselves to style a common item of clothing to suit their personal style. This really highlights how versatile one piece of clothing can be and how it can be styled to suit anyone – regardless of age!
The Health Code
This podcast features the amazing insta-famous Aussie couple Sarah Stevenson and Kurt Tilse – otherwise known as @sarahsday and @kjtilse. They talk about health from a whole range of dimensions including motivating yourself, career paths and the side hustle, fitness, diet and relationships. It’s the perfect combination of inspiring, entertaining and educational and if you follow this pair on Instagram it really gives you an insight into what goes on behind the scenes.
